Can you believe it’s only three more weeks of school!? I am in shock. We are working on finishing up end of the year things, and then the next two weeks will be fun summer themed review activities.
Thank you all again for the beautiful cards and gifts last week. It was so nice to be loved on by your kiddos. I can’t think of a better job to do. The students have been reflecting on their learning this week, and it’s amazing to see how far they’ve come! What a joy!

Field Day Help
Reminders
CLERICAL HELP: I need a parent volunteer to help me do some laminating and cutting out and putting papers into our learning portfolios on Wednesday or Thursday of this week for our presentation of learning. You can come in anytime during the day and I’ll show you what to do. If this is something you’re able to help me out with, please reply to this e-mail and we’ll figure out a time that works best for you. It should only take about an hour tops to finish it. It would help me out a ton!
RESTAURANT NIGHT: Inspire families! We have one last chance to gather and do good for our school community. On Monday May 20, please come by for this special 'End o' Year' restaurant fundraiser at Ester's at Oneida Park (2201 Oneida St. Denver, 80207). They are donating 20% back on all Inspire orders from open to close! Remember to mention Inspire to your server to make your purchase count!
RAINBOW FIELD DAY: Our field day is on May 24 from 9:00-11:30. Students in our class need to come wearing green t-shirts! I need volunteers to help me with the students when we go around to stations. If you will be here and can help me out, please sign up here. On field day, students should bring a water bottle with their name on it. Please make sure that your student is wearing sunscreen before being dropped off for school. If the child will need to reapply sunscreen, please send some that the child is able to apply to him or herself. Students should wear comfortable shoes that they can run in. Please send a change of clothes and a towel, as there will be some water play. If your student needs a bag lunch from the cafeteria, please let me know by May 15.
LETTER: I sent home a green piece of paper for you to write a special end of the year note to your child. Please return to me by Monday May 20. I will add it to their memory books.
FAMILY SATISFACTION SURVEY: Please complete your Family Satisfaction Survey! Low participation rates will negatively impact our 2018-2019 School Performance Framework(SPF) rating. Survey results from last year were a major factor in our red SPF rating, and we would really like for the participation rate to be as close to 100% as possible. The results are anonymous and confidential. The survey will only be online this year. You may access the survey through the parent portal. Please log into the parent portal , and instructions and the link will be in the upper righthand corner of your homepage. Fliers with additional details were sent home in Friday folders. Feel free to e-mail me if you’re having troubles finding the parent satisfaction survey! Thanks for taking the time to thoughtfully fill out the survey and give us feedback on how we can continue to grow as a school!

STUDENT PRESENTATION OF LEARNING: is on May 16 from 5-6 PM. This is a night where students can bring families into the classroom to show them all the things we’ve learned throughout the school year. It’s honestly a celebration of learning for your child!
READING LOG: I put the last reading log in your child’s folder. We’ll do another lunch in the classroom on Wednesday May 29. Continue reading and filling out those reading logs! You can even log Istation practice time, sight word practice, or nonsense word practice into the log. Any form of reading practice counts.
LIBRARY: We have library every Tuesday. Please return the books you are finished with, so your child can check out new books.
HAWKQUEST: Mrs. Lambert and I were able to get a program to come to school called Hawkquest on May 30. We thought it’d be a fun way to finish out the school year. We need your help! The cost of the program is $285. To help offset/cover the cost, we’re asking for donations from families. If you are able to donate somewhere between $5 to $10, we would appreciate it. We completely understand if it’s not feasible. Put the donation in your child’s blue folder and label it Hawkquest. Checks can be made out to Inspire Elementary. PTO will cover the remaining cost we don’t raise.
