It was another great week in the first grade. I really enjoyed being back with your kiddos. I really missed teaching them. We’ve started writing letters to each other for our memory books. That’s been a ton of fun. We’re also going to plant our seeds for the science fair. It’s an extension activity for the field trip we’re going on. We’re going to see if cucumber seeds grow best in humus, sand, or clay soil. It should be a lot of fun! Next week for reading, we’re going to do some research on soil and how plants grow, so there will be no spelling words in your child’s homework folder next week.
