I have had the most wonderful time with your child this past week. They have been so well behaved and the talking level has gone WAY down. It’s been really nice- for me and for them. They really are wonderful kids. We’ve been having so much fun crafting gifts for our families, fervently reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, listening to Christmas piano music, and putting a yule log up on the smart board while we work on math, reading or writing. I love weeks like this where things seem to click. This is a time when kids tend to check out and are fairly unfocused. I’m not finding that with these little ones. They’re eager to learn and that makes my heart happy. Just yesterday one kid asked if we were going to do math. I hadn’t planned on it, because we had to finish up some other things, but we found time and it was a blast.
Only two more days ‘til break. I want to wish you all a safe and happy holiday.
*Reminders*
NO SCHOOL: December 21- January 1. School resumes on Monday January 4.
RED FOLDERS: Folders are due tomorrow. Over the break, I am not requiring any sort of homework, but I will send your child’s RED folder home next Friday with a fun packet of activities for your child to do over the break (especially for those times they get stir crazy).
MOVIE AND PAJAMA DAY: I will be showing The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on Friday December 18. Students may wear their pajamas to school.
HOLIDAY PARTY: We’re going to have a celebration on Friday December 18 from 9:15-10:45. It should be a lot of fun.
