It’s been yet another great week in the first grade. The students have been doing a wonderful job for our student teacher, Mrs. Vasquez. She’s teaching full time and I’m now playing a helper role in the classroom. It’s been fun to be able to sit back and listen to all the students’ little conversations. I can’t believe all the funny things I miss out on because I’m so focused on getting through everything through the day. We are finishing up our module 7 unit in math. Students will take home their math journals this Friday, and I will be giving them a check up assessment on Monday to make sure they know all their learning targets and to make sure, I taught them well.
They are such delightful, wonderful humans, and it’s been a neat opportunity getting to know their personalities. What I really can’t believe is that spring break is in 2 weeks! This winter trimester is really going by fast.
