I’ve had another lovely week with your kids. They are working so hard and getting into so many routines. It’s been fun to watch them blossom and bloom. I’m getting a good grasp on where your child is at academically, so I’m really looking forward to talking to all of you at conferences so we can talk through ways to support and help your child continue to grow and thrive in school!
Reminders
Conferences: Your child’s conference day/time is going home. Please sign the bottom
portion, saying you can make the conference. I have to meet with each parent in the fall, so please make sure you make it to the conference. It’s oftentimes difficult to reschedule.
Running club: K-2 Running Club begins October 19! Running Club will go from 3:45-4:30 every Wednesday and is a wonderful way for students to exercise and enjoy time outdoors! We already have 14 friends from our class signed up! I’m pretty pumped to get to hang out with your little one after school. If you haven’t done so, and you want your child to participate, turn in the green running club sheet ASAP. Spots are filling fast.
Walk-a-thon: Our school Walk-a-Thon is coming up on October 7th. I am excited to enjoy a day of running and walking laps in the fresh air with my class! Parents are welcome to come run with us. We’ll be doing it during our specials time (2:30-3:15). A green form is coming home today. This is a great fundraiser for our school. The money we raise goes completely towards your child’s education and enrichment!
BOOK ORDER: I am sending home the October book order today. It is due back Wednesday October 12. Please DO NOT give me cash. Either write a check, or order online using a credit card. You can order through my website: mssandberg.weebly.com. There is a link that goes to scholastic. There is a certificate that says “Spend 10$ and get 1 free book worth up to 5$ with your order”. If you are using this coupon, please include it with your child’s order completely filled out. You can only pick out 1 book worth up to 5$. Please do not pick out multiple books worth up to 5$.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful child with me!
Warmly,
Ms. Sandberg
