The bug has hit our classroom! I’ve had kids out a bunch, and we all have been a bit sniffly (myself included). I guess it’s time to build back up that immune system we all lost over the summer. Make sure your child is drinking plenty of fluids and getting plenty of sleep to help fight all these germs. Hopefully next week we’ll all be healthier!
We have been doing so much this week. I’ve been reading chapter books to them, and they really seem to love listening to stories. I am excited to share so many wonderful children’s chapter books with your child here at school. I told the kids that if they work really hard at reading, they’ll be able to borrow my extensive collection of chapter books in the back of my classroom.
We got to meet a police officer on Tuesday as part of our social studies community unit. He taught the kids about what a police officer does, how he keeps us safe, and we got to sit in his police car. It was pretty fun! We’re hoping to get some more community helpers in here in the next couple of weeks. If you are a paramedic, nurse, fire fighter, etc. and would like to come in and talk with the kids, we’d love to get you in!
